Skweek
Please welcome our shiny inflatable rubber mascot, one of several skunks coming to Pawsome this year. Do they smell? Only of latex, fortunately! Skweek is a bit of an air-head and likes nothing more than bouncing around, spreading joy and smiles, but being a balloonie, it’s hard to tie them down to one spot, but we find a bit of string will do!
Rubber is a well-known material for a large part of our anthro community. Rubberfurs as they are often known, are critters in our anthro universe that are made from rubber, inflatable critters, or simply those furries or pups that enjoy wearing latex outfits and accessories with their puppy and furry costumes. There are also a huge growing community of critters into PVC and Vinyl pool toys, including wearable vinyl pool-toy style costumes and accessories. Who doesn't love a big inflatable Orca to sit on, in the pool?
Inclusion
RubberFurs and PoolToyFurs enjoy a shared space under our anthro umbrella, however due to their perceptions by the outside world, other UK furry conventions and furmeet organisers often have venue restrictions imposed on them unfairly. This sadly means they are often not able to accommodate this huge part of the furry community. However, most, if not all, pup events generally allow rubber outfits, costumes and accessories!
Pawsome Rules On Rubber & PVC/Vinyl
Pawsome allows all shiny, squeaky, rubbery, vinyl, PVC critters no matter how big or small, suited or inflated, all are welcome and our inflatable rubber skunk here can help show you the way, but just make sure you are not wearing anything sharp, we would like them to stick around for a while!
There will be inflatable suit meet & greet events, rubber skunk photo shoots and various events and panels being run during the weekend for those new and used to all things shiny. With our community partner RubberSocial on hand to provide supplies and examples, with our Dealers Den hosting a number of sellers who can provide rubber critter accessories for you!
